Standard Roller Blinds
Standard roller blinds are available with either chain or spring operation. Available in both light-weight and heavy-duty systems, our Roller blinds are suitable for the majority of domestic and commercial applications. We offer a wide choice of fabrics – some of which are flame retardant or have solar protective coatings to improve solar performance. We offer a “slow rise” spring option whereby you release the blind and let it go. It will then gently rise to its fully open position and stop.
Vision Roller Blinds (aka Duo or night & day blinds) offer a stunning alternative to conventional roller blinds. They are based on the classic roller principle, but with fabric suspended in double layers – hence the name “Duo”. The fabric has a striped pattern that in combination with the double layers, provides the product with a flexible functionality. When the transparent stripes are completely aligned, the fabric allows you to view through the blind much like that of a voile or net curtain. Operate the blind further to offset the alignment for better daylight control or complete privacy. Click here to see a demonstration video on our YouTube channel.
Rechargable Battery Operated Roller Blinds
Forget replacing a dozen AA batteries every couple of weeks. These roller blinds have an integrated motor and rechargeable lithium battery and are operated via remote control. The handset can be mounted in a cradle neatly on a wall so you’ll always know where it is, or wing it and leave it loose where its most convenient (normally within reach of the sofa or bed). We give a ballpark figure of 6 months between charges, but its all down to how often you use it. The blinds come with an old Nokia phone style charger with a very long lead. When the blind emits a bleep at the start of operating, simply plug it in for a few hours to give it a full charge.
Perfect Fit Roller Blinds
Perfect Fit is a unique system that allows the installation of blinds to UPVC windows without any drilling or use of screws. Due to its’ unique construction, Perfect Fit becomes part of the window – unobtrusive and leaving window sills clutter free. The blind fits neatly into a stylish frame, which then snap-fits into the window using brackets held in place using the window bead. The blind moves together with the windows and doors when they are opened and closed giving you the perfect combination of shade and ventilation. Reduced gaps at the edge of the blinds increases your privacy, and when used in conjunction with one of our energy efficient fabrics will provide beneficial insulation in the winter and heat resistance in summer. Also available as Pleated or Venetian Perfect Fit blinds. Click here for further information on the Perfect Fit system.
Intu Roller Blinds
The Intu roller blind system is similar to Perfect Fit (see above) in that no drilling or screws are required. Ideal for conservatories, glazed doors and tilt and turn windows, Intu blinds fit neatly into the window bead using a patented bracket system so you can operate your window or door handles with ease. Slimline channels are installed down the sides of the blind, reducing light gaps and giving exceptional control of solar heat and light. Available in an extensive range of colours, styles and designs, these choices of fabrics include varied finishes such as reflective coatings to blackout or waterproof. Also available as Pleated or Venetian Intu blinds. Click here for further information on the Intu system.
We can provide electrically operated roller blinds powered via the mains or by battery. Motorised blinds bring the added flexibility of offering the perfect solution to window areas that are not easily accessible. Whether that be due an awkwardly located window or the physical capacity to operate a standard blind with ease. We have installed electric roller blinds in various domestic and commercial settings from homes, offices and even a former church now used as an arts centre. The same choice of fabrics, finishes and options as our standard roller blinds are available – but with the blind controls at the touch of a button. This option is a stylish solution for a wider range of window applications. Click here to see a demonstration video on our YouTube channel.
Roof roller blinds are less common these days having been replaced by newer roof systems such as Perfect Fit. They are however still available and offer an alternative look and lower cost to the more mainstream pleated roof blinds. Predominantly used in conservatories, they can be tailored and shaped to the style of your roof. Operated via a cord and cleat system or motorised control, an optional pelmet can be installed to conceal the workings of the blind and the fabric when retracted. All of our roof roller blind fabrics have a solor protective, energy efficient backing – meaning they provide both heat reduction in the summer and help to reduce heat loss in winter.
Velux & Rooflight Roller Blinds
We offer roof light blinds for the main three manufactures of roof light windows – Velux, Keylite and Fakro. With the blind fixed in a compact aluminium headbox, side channels provided guide the fabric as the blind is operated and also provide a high degree of light control. The fabric is held in the channels by small buttons which ensure the fabric remains in place at all times. The tensioning of the bottom bar allows the blind to be set to any position in the window frame. Simple and stylish, roof light blinds provide privacy and diffuse sunlight. Blackout options are also available. Bespoke roof light blinds are an option for non standard or non branded windows.
Complete Blackout Roller Blind
All of our roller blinds are available in blackout fabrics – whereby no light can pass through the material of the blind. Daylight will still penetrate through the sides of the blind, but for most people this is adequate to achieve the effect they want. If however you need that extra level of darkness, for example in a room where VDU and AV are in operation, then you may want to consider a full blackout blind. The blind is mounted in a cassette system complete with integral headbox and side channels. This eliminates almost all outside light giving a near pitch black effect to a room with no internal lights switched on. The blinds can be operated via pull cord, a winding handle or motorised.
Optional Fascia/Cassette
A standard roller blind consists of two end brackets with a cloth covered roller between the two of them. These are normally visible and to some people unsightly. An optional extra with our roller blinds is to conceal them behind a fascia. Its exactly the same blind, only mounted inside a sleek powder coated aluminium case – hiding the mechanism, brackets and screw heads neatly out of sight. Standard paint colours are white and brown. For extra co-ordination, we can fabric wrap the fascia so it will match perfectly to your roller blind.
Finishing touches
Roller blinds come in many shapes and sizes. We offer eight styles of trims – Classic, Colonial, Provence, Castile, Temple, Crest, Arches and Eyelets, complimented by a vast selection of poles, finials and pulls. Ten types of braid in co-ordinating colours are used to enhance the finish of the blinds.
Use your own fabric
If you’ve found a particular fabric you really like or perhaps want something to match your existing soft furnishings, we can arrange to have your fabric made up into a roller blind. The process will include laminating the fabric, over-locking all visible edges and manufacturing into an endless cord roller blind with stitched bottom pockets. Cotton or Polyester fabrics are best; and they should always be obtained on a roll – not folded. Otherwise the creases this forms will never come out. We also offer this service for our Roman Blinds.
Use your own photo
Can’t find a pattern or colour that you like? Want something unique or personal? We can offer digitally printed roller blinds from a choice of online cityscapes, landscapes and more; or use a photo of your very own! Available in regular or blackout fabrics.
