The most common type of wooden blind people think of when they hear that term is the wooden Venetian blind. Horizonal wooden slats are suspended from a headrail mounted to the inside of your window or ceiling. Wooden Venetian blinds are a lot lighter than their faux wood counterparts and as such are a lot easier to operate. Available in an array of different colours and slat sizes.
Faux wood Venetian blinds are typically made of vinyl. They are cheaper than real wood blinds and are better suited to high humidity areas like bathrooms since real wood can crack and warp when exposed to moisture. The slats are often textured to replicate wood patterns and feel. Faux wood blinds are a lot heavier than natural wood and this is particulary noticable on larger windows – they will require more strength to raise and lower, something the less abled may struggle with.
The original Victorian shading material for conservatories, orangeries and sun rooms. The woven nature of the Pinoleum provides good shading while providing a diffused light to add a subtle ambiance to the room. They are suitable for conservatory roof and side windows but may also be used at other windows in the house. The traditional wood finish makes them perfect for timber conservatories, although they look good in uPVC to! There is a choice of weave patterns and standard colour finishes, but they can also be painted to a bespoke colour to match the leading paint manufacturers ranges. Pinoleum blinds retract in folds like a Roman blind although there is also a roll-up version for freehanging blinds.

Perfect Fit Venetian blinds are operated by hand using a concealed cord tension system. This prevents the blind from slipping down when fully open and means no dangly strings to get tangled. An attached clear wand control is used to adjust and tilt the angle of the slats.
